Rawa

Rava is created by grinding husked wheat and is used to make savory dishes in Indian cuisine. It includes High fiber content, high nutritional value, and hygienic processing

Another type of Rawa is Chamba Rava, which is an extract of wheat flour, whereas this “Rawa” is an extract of maida flour and therefore considerably finer. Rawa is the residual of milled material that remains after the flour is processed in a flour mill (Chakki). It is put through a fine-mesh sieve to separate the flour and rawa.

Dishes prepared with it include rawa dosa, rawa idli, upma, and khichdis, as well as rawa ladoo and sooji halwa in North Indian cuisine, which is also known as rawa kesari.
