Maida

Maida is a wheat-based white flour from the Indian subcontinent. It resembles cake flour since it is finely milled without any bran, refined, and bleached. Maida is often utilized in fast food, baked products including pastries and bread, as well as a variety of desserts and traditional flatbreads. It is sometimes branded and sold as multi-purpose flour due to its wide range of uses.

Maida is produced from the endosperm, which is derived from the grain’s starchy white portion. The germ and endosperm are separated from the bran, which is then refined by passing through a sieve with a mesh size of 100 mesh per inch.
